Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 7, 2026

Our Family Album is a private space for a family to share photos and videos of their children with the people they invite, and no one else. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not make your family's content public.

1. Who we are

Our Family Album ("we", "us") provides the Our Family Album mobile app and this website. If you have any question about this policy or your data, contact us through our support page.

2. Information we collect

3. How we use your information

We use your information only to run the service: to store and display your family's photos and videos to the members you invite, to send the notifications you turn on, to answer your support requests, to operate a paid Premium plan if you choose it, and to keep the service secure and reliable. We do not use your content to train any advertising or third-party model.

4. Who can see your content

Your photos and videos are visible only to the members of the album they belong to, subject to the per-item visibility you choose (everyone in the album, admins only, or a specific share group). Removing a member, or restricting an item, revokes their access going forward. Your content is never public and is never sold.

5. Service providers

We rely on a small number of providers to operate the service: Apple and Google for sign-in, Apple for push notifications, our email provider (Resend) to deliver support replies, and our hosting provider to store data and serve the app. These providers process data only on our behalf and only as needed to provide their part of the service.

6. Children's data

Our Family Album is designed for parents and family members (adults) to share photos of their own children within a private album. Accounts are held by adults. The children's names, dates, and images that adults choose to add are treated as private family content, shown only to invited members and never used for advertising or sold.

7. Data retention and deletion

We keep your content until you delete it or delete your account. You can delete an individual photo or video, delete an album, or delete your entire account from within the app (Settings). Deleting an album or your account permanently removes the associated photos and videos from our storage. Some routine backups and security logs may persist for a short period before being overwritten.

8. Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your information. Much of this is available directly in the app; for anything else, contact us through the support page and we will help. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make a material change, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.

10. Contact and reporting

For privacy questions, data requests, or to report content or abuse, reach us through our support page. This also serves as our contact point under the EU Digital Services Act.
